| A Candle For The Sun is an offering of music, to share how my heart has been touched -- by those who listen and by those who love me, especially Jesus, Yogi Ammrit Desai, and Swami Kripalvanandji. Much of this music has emerged spontaneously from images and feelings they draw forth, as glimpses of the Son, a series of five pieces inspired by the life of Jesus. An exception to this purely improvisatory form is Mahasamadhi (The Final Peace) in which I weave together the melodies of three Sanskrit chants. |
| A Candle For The Sun was recorded in a concert hall at Lebanon Valley College by John Uhl. It has been duplicated in real time onto chromium dioxide tape and is encoded in Dolby B and Dolby HX Pro. |
