A Benefit for the Homelessor just clever marketing?

Hopefully it's both. If Human Heart doesn't get out to lots of people, it will have been neither!

Muddy Angel Music & Arts, inc. is donating all of its profits from the sale of Human Heart to organizations dedicated to helping the homeless get back on their feet again. You may share my suspicion about projects claiming to be "benefits." So without going into all of the details, here is what I mean by "donating the profits."

"Profits" are what's left after all of Muddy Angel's expenses in regard to this project are paid back. Those expenses include all of the recording, labor, duplicating, legal, administrative, advertising, and marketing expenses plus modest royalties to investors, the producer, and the songwriter.

When the album pays itself off, Muddy Angel Music will also send honorariums to those who donated their time to the project. (In the meantime, you can support them yourself by checking out the great recordings and performances they have to offer!)

Muddy Angel Music has been in dialogue with a number of groups who provide services to homeless individuals and families. We have chosen not to list them for the sake of flexibility in the use of the funds over the years. (We've already donated a portion of advance sales.)
